Strength Fusion

In this class we will explore many different types of strength training that will boost our metabolisms, lower stress levels, reduce lower back pain and prolong all of our live's.  You will learn how to safely use equipment such as resistance bands, dumbbells, barbells, the medicine ball, yoga ball, kettle bell etc. while toning up and sweating off those inches.

 

Dance Fusion

 

Come and explore a plathora of dance genres.  Expect to learn Latin, Club, Urban, Belly, Creative dance and dances that incorporate props such as umbrella's, hats, chairs, scarfs etc.  No experience needed, just the lack of inhibitions.

 

Cardio Crunch

 

A 30 - 45 minute cardio that targets our hearts, stamina and endurance.  Cardio includes training in boxing, dancing, hi/low aerobics, circiut training etc.  The last part of the class allows us to crunch our core and trim our waist line.

Mommy and Baby Fitness Programs.

 

All our Mommy and Baby Fitness programs begin with a warm up with baby in our arms, followed by a more intense workout for Mom* (baby car seats and carriers welcome). The Strength and Stretch portion of the class involves baby once again as we target our legs, butt, abs and upper body with challenging drills that will not only tone us up, but will boost our metabolism too. Once we are done sweating we take time to play with the babies through song, rhyme, puppets, bubbles and parachute play – this is my favourite part because I like to sing, even if I’m not that good.  The last 10 minutes is dedicated to mommy social and networking.  Nothing like an adult conversation.

 

Mommy and Baby Yoga/Pilates

 

Every day stresses can cause a breakdown in body awareness.  Come to this class and connect with your breathe and your inner self.  As we add movement to our breathe we improve our balance, flexibility and ability to handle hard times. This movement stimulates the systems and organs of the entire body.  If that’s not enough,  Yoga/Pilates slows down the aging process by sending oxygen rich blood to every vessel of your body.

 

Mommy and Baby Indoor Fitness

 

This is the class for the mom who is looking for variety or just wants to try things out to see what type of exercise she enjoys. In this class we try something new every week ranging from Boxercise to Yoga/Pilates.

 

Mommy and Baby Stroller fitness

 

Enjoy the fresh air under the big, blue sky with your baby.  We will explore different styles of walking, from speed to power.  You’ll feel the burn as we utilize benches, banisters, hills, tree stumps and picnic tables as tools to enhance our endurance, strength and flexibility.  A little Stroller Yoga under the trees is the perfect way to end off the workout. Our meeting place is in the parking lot by the washrooms.

 

Mommy and Baby Boogie

 

Put your dance shoes on and shake your booty.  This is a great class for the baby who likes the baby carrier/snuggly.  We work on all our moves as we take on the genres of Club, Urban, Latin, and Country.  If you’re looking to embrace your curves and your new found femininity try it out, you’ll love it.

 

Mommy and Baby Bootcamp

Sound off

 

This one is for the serious mom who is looking to get back into that cute little pair of jeans.  This class is definitely athletic and is set up in a way that will keep you working hard.  Circuit training at its best includes the use of the rebounder, boxing bag, kettle bell, resistance bands, medicine balls, dumbbells and barbells.  You’ll definitely feel this one the next day.

  

Mommy and Baby Boxercise

If you have any extra energy that you need to express without breaking your knuckles, join us for boxercise - some sparring involved which will help in terms of learning proper technique and letting out that pent up stress.

 

Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Workshops

 

Spend a couple of hours with other parents who are keen on learning all they can about how to react to an emergency.  This condensed course is for your peace of mind as you will be given priceless knowledge, along with a booklet and ongoing support from our very vibrant Valerie.  We insist you bring your child so that you can practice the techniques on the real thing (don’t worry we’ll be using dummies too).

  

Mommy and Baby Play

 

Are you looking for a sing-a-long group where you can learn new tunes and have some bonding time with your babe? The workout is playing with your baby.

 

  • All classes require a bottle of water and small towel, plus whatever baby needs.  Correct footwear is also important ie:  running or walking shoes/crosstrainers that are INDOOR ONLY shoes. 
  • We like to keep it casual so feel free to feed, diaper or take breaks at any time throughout the class, we’re all mom’s and distractions are just part of life. 

 

*Please refrain from bringing your stroller into the studio (unless you are walking to the studio from your home) as space can be an issue at times.
